Give your teen a headstart in life by having them attend our 5-day Summer Bootcamp. Personal finance is the most important but least taught subject that your teen needs to understand. As you can see in the course agenda below, your teen will learn about why personal finances are important, credit, income, saving, debt, budgeting, investing, how to make large purchases, financial independence, and more!

This course is being facilitated by Brock Denson, the Founder & Managing Director of Finances Explained LLC. We have made it convenient by offering morning and afternoon classes the week of June 14th-June 19th, 8:30 AM-11:30 AM and 12:00 PM-3:00 PM. The course location is at the Conference Cabin at Central Park at 1607 E Central, Andover, KS 67002. Course cost is $199 and includes all materials.

Monday, June 14th 2021

Understanding Money

On day 1 of the course, your teen will learn about why understanding personal finance is important, how behavior and emotion can impact our financial decisions, and how to avoid common money mistakes.

Wednesday, June 16th 2021

Saving, Debt, & Budgeting

On the 3rd day of the course, your teen will learn how to save and how to set savings goals. They will also learn about the different types of debt, how to get out of debt, and how to stay out of debt. Once they have learned these core principles, they will learn about different budgeting methods, can create their own budget.

Friday, June 18th 2021

Open Q&A with class

The final day of the course will be used for an open Q&A between the instructor and all students. We don't want your teen leaving with any unanswered questions!

Tuesday, June 15th 2021

Credit & Income

On day 2 of the course, your teen will learn what a credit score is, what it is used for, and how to maintain a high score. They will also learn how to seek out careers that offer competitive pay, great benefits packages, and how to ask for a raise. 

Thursday, June 17th 2021

Investing, Large Purchases & Financial Independence

On the 4th day of the course, your teen will learn about the different types of retirement accounts that are available to them and how to maximize their benefits. They will also learn how to make large purchases wisely. (Homes, Vehicles, Appliances, Etc.) After they understand all of the concepts from today and previous days, your teen will learn what Financial Independence is and how to achieve it.
